Dr. Manik Gupta

Dr. Manik Gupta is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. Prior to that, she was working as a lecturer in the Computer Science and Informatics division at London Southbank University (LSBU), London, UK. She received her PhD from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN)/Internet of Things (IoT) and also has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at University College London (UCL) and London Southbank University on various EPSRC and Innovate UK research projects. Her research interests include Data Science for IoT with focus upon real world data collection and data quality issues, Edge AI and IoT data processing using time series analytics, knowledge discovery from multimodal sensor datasets with applications in environmental monitoring and health.

Suchit Bhai Patel

Mr. Suchit Patel is a robotics and healthcare researcher, focusing on human-centered AI fusion. Currently pursuing a joint PhD program at BITS Pilani in Hyderabad and La Trobe University in Melbourne, his research revolves around the application of digital twins in healthcare, multimodal data integration, explainability and Large Language Model (LLM). With prior experience as an assistant professor at Jaipur's Poornima College of Engineering, he has expertise in computer vision in low-light conditions and locomotion dynamics of bipeds and prosthetic legs. His interdisciplinary background, combining both biological and mechanical domains in post-graduate coursework, significantly influences his research, driving innovation in precision medicine, patient care, and clinical decision support.

Harsha Varun Marisetty

I completed my B.Tech in Computer Science from Amrita School of Engineering in 2016. I worked as a web security and SSL VPN admin in Infosys Ltd for a period of 4 years. In 2021, I joined the Ph.D. program at BITS - Pilani, Hyderabad campus, under the supervision of Prof. Manik Gupta in the field of distributed machine learning.

Priyanka Gupta

Priyanka Gupta received the B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from SRM University, Chennai and JNTUH, Hyderabad, in 2011 and 2013, respectively. She has been working as a faculty in the Computer Science department, at CVR College of Engineering before starting her PhD studies. Her research interests are in machine learning techniques for time-series data.

I received my master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology from Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College in Raipur. Now, I’m diving into a PhD in Data Science for Global Health. My research areas include antimicrobial resistance, data science for health, computational biology, and drug discovery. I jumped into this PhD adventure because I love combining my interests in biology and technology, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.

Priya Baju

I am an engineer with B.E.(Hons.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from BITS Pilani and MTech in Communication Engineering from VIT University. To supplement my passion for utilising data-driven methodology, I studied Master in Data Science Strategy and Leadership at RMIT University. I am now pursuing a Cotutelle PhD at BITS Pilani and RMIT University since August 2023 to study organisational AI readiness across India and Australia.

Ravi Bhushan

Ravi Bhushan is a joint doctoral candidate with BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus and La Trobe University. Ravi completed his graduation from Delhi University and Master's from Tata Institute of Social Sciences with a specialisation in development and governance. He brings three years of management consulting experience working on sustainability related government projects.
